National Indigenous Peoples Day

June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day – a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Metis people in our community. In honour of this day, Rita Dagenais, an Aboriginal Law lawyer with 35 years of experience working with First Nations and the Department of Justice, shared her perspective with us, in an informative presentation entitled, “Righting Historic Wrongs”.
