Lisa Marie Buccella is a Partner at Blaney McMurtry LLP with an insurance practice focused on representing institutions and individuals in historic and contemporary abuse and assault matters. She advises school boards, religious institutions, police services, municipalities, and child welfare organizations, and has acted as lead in both jury and non-jury trials.
Lisa Marie has been an active leader within The Advocates' Society since 2019, where she serves on the Mid-Career Advocates Standing Committee, is Co-Chair of the Women Advocates Working Group, and sits on the Editorial Board of Advocacy Matters with her recurring column, The Happy Lawyer Project. She is also a Skills Instructor through The Advocates’ Society and a frequent speaker at legal and professional development programs.
Lisa Marie has served as a coach through the Law Society of Ontario's Coach and Advisor Network and is a volunteer with Sunnybrook Hospital’s Pregnancy and Infant Loss Network.
She lives in Toronto with her family of seven.
