We announce with great sadness the passing of our friend and colleague, Susan Carr.
Susan was employed at Blaney McMurtry, her professional home for 27 years, most recently as the firm’s Human Resources Director.
Susan will be remembered for her ever present smile, positive attitude, kind heart and selfless nature. She maintained her positive attitude throughout the past year as she fought courageously and with grace during a very difficult battle with cancer.
Susan was kind and generous and she strongly believed in giving back to the community. She was involved with many charities, especially the United Way and Law Society of Ontario’s Lawyers Feed the Hungry. Susan served meals every single Sunday morning for 19+ years at the Toronto Lawyers Feed the Hungry program. She was always the first person to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
Often described as a ray of sunshine, Susan touched the lives of so many and always made people feel welcome and at home. She will be missed by everyone who had the good fortune to work with her.
