Andrea's practice focuses on commercialization and enforcement of IP for data driven industries-including AI and Music Tech, registration of rights in brands, copyright clearance and due diligence, software licensing, industrial designs and patents; resolution of disputes as an attorney qualified in Ontario, Quebec, and Massachusetts Registered as a Patent Agent/ (CIPO, CPATA) and Certified Canadian Patent Administrator (IPIC), Trademark Mediator- (IPIC and INTA). She has served on a SAGIT (Canadian federal government advisory group on international trade, business services) and was appointed by the Federal Government to the Information Highway Advisory Council (IHAC) Copyright Subcommittee. She has also worked at the Federal Department of Justice as well as in the private sector, representing clients in English and French, and has been peer recognized in Chambers Global, Best Lawyers, Lexpert and WTR.
Andrea served as Chair of the LSO IP Specialist Certification Board, ALAI (Toronto Chapter), Canadian Technion Society (Toronto Chapter) and received awards from the Law Society of Ontario (Professional Development), Copyright Society of the USA (Charles Seton Prize), Federal Department of Justice, Canada (Duff Rinfret Scholar) and McGill University, (Law Faculty; Music Faculty). She has lectured at Stanford University (Program on Law, Science and Technology) Osgoode Hall (LLM program- e-commerce) and OCAD University (Business of Intellectual Property). Publications on music, law and technology. Served on Editorial Boards of Computer Law, INTA Trademark Reporter and Journal of the Copyright Society of the USA.
